What is Taste of East Cobb?
Taste of East Cobb is a premier outdoor food festival and community event for tasters of all ages, and has become a favorite annual tradition of area residents since 2006. The festival is held each year on the first Saturday in May and showcases the area’s finest restaurants. Taste of East Cobb is packed full of great food and plenty to see and do, and offers attendees as well as participating restaurants, vendors and sponsors the best value for your dollar of any of the “taste” events in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
The Taste of East Cobb experience includes:
- A delicious variety of menu items from more than 30 of the area’s finest restaurants.
- A Kid’s Zone with huge moonwalk inflatables and fun hands-on activities, including sand art, spin art and face painting!
- Great live entertainment, featuring performances by Walton High School’s jazz bands.
- Unique products and services offered by over 30 area vendors.
- A raffle and silent auction of valuable merchandise.
- The “Best of Taste of East Cobb” voting competition.

How much does it cost to attend Taste of East Cobb?
Admission to the festival is FREE! Individual Taste tickets cost only $1.00, and all restaurants’ menu items are offered at only 1 to 5 Taste tickets per serving!
Where can I purchase Taste tickets?
Advanced taste tickets can be purchased in advance from Walton High School Band students, and can be purchased online at www.tasteofeastcobb.com/tickets.
Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the event at the festival.
What is the difference in an “Artisan” and a “Vendor”?
Artisans include individuals that produce handmade crafts, jewelry, fabrics, garments, art, and the like. Artisan businesses are run out of the home, and do not include so-called “brick and mortar” locations. Artisans explicitly exclude business that sell items on “multi-level marketing” or “direct sales” model.
Vendors, on the other hand, are businesses that sell goods and services. Those businesses may be home-based, or may have commercial locations.

Are there any rules or limitations that vendors and restaurants should be aware of?
While our application forms give a complete set of rules and guidelines, there are some obvious ones worth mentioning here:
- This is a fundraiser affiliated with a school organization, and as such no alcohol may be served or consumed during the event.
- Due to the school affiliation, Taste of East Cobb reserves the right to decline participation to any business based on the appropriateness of their products and/or services.
How many restaurants will be participating at Taste of East Cobb?
30 of the area’s top restaurants are expected to showcase their best dishes at the event.
Besides great food, what else does Taste of East Cobb offer?
- Live entertainment courtesy of the Walton High School Jazz Bands
- Kid-friendly fun activities in the Kids Zone, including inflatables and activities

Based on recent events a number of 10,000 to 15,000 is a reasonable expectation.
Are pets permitted at Taste of East Cobb?
Yes. Pet owners are expected to keep pets on a leash and to clean up any animal waste.
Should my restaurant participate in Taste of East Cobb?
Absolutely! Who is the organizer of Taste of East Cobb?
Taste of East Cobb is produced by the Walton Band Parents Association. WBPA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that exists to support provide financial, logistical, and administrative support to Walton bands. All proceeds from the annual festival directly benefit the outstanding and award winning band program at Walton High School, which is one of Georgia’s premier public high schools.
